Challenge:
Our customer historically dropped pickles into packages by hand, and they were looking for an automated solution. They asked our FFM team to create a custom conveyor to drop pickles into packaging with precise timing, while being able to physically move and fit the conveyor into multiple packaging lines.
Solution:
Our FFM team needed to engineer a completely unique conveyor system from scratch that met all of the customer’s criteria and functionality requirements.
Results:
FFM designed, fabricated and tested the new, custom conveyor design. The design proved to be sound, and it was installed in the line, providing a huge efficiency increase to the packaging line. The customer’s expectations were met and exceeded.
